SHOPCreative x Boxpark: Press Release
Supporting Creatives and Keeping High Street Retail Alive.
It’s increasingly hard for designers, makers and creatives to get their products into prime retail spaces, we are helping them to get their products in front of customers in popup concept stores and events around the UK.
We are opening a pop up boutique in BOXPARK Shoreditch that will house up to 30 creatives, their work includes, ceramics, jewellery, fashion, homeware, childrenswear, rattan bags, leather, silk scarves, t-shirts, prints and stationary. Some of the creatives are young start-ups and this will be their first ever opportunity to show their products in a retail space in London.
SHOPCreative finds, designs, and sets up the stores and events, we also provide the staff and the payment facilities, the creatives pay a small space fee and receive all the sales money for their products. They also receive feedback on customer comments and sales performance, helping them to understand how to develop their product ranges and grow their businesses.
SHOPCreative, a Social Enterprise, is providing affordable, accessible retail opportunities to designers, makers and artists by taking all the hard stuff away from the process and making it easy for them to get their products in front of customers.
One of the best ways for them to learn what customers think of their products is to receive feedback and work out what sells and what doesn’t as quickly as possible.
UK high streets are facing so many challenges right now, and we want don’t want to see the high street disappear, we believe that the high-street shopping experience should, and can survive if we create exciting and engaging spaces for customers to visit.
SHOPCreative are working on some new ideas for the future, looking at re-invigorating some empty store spaces and creating retail and work space opportunities in various location around the UK. Watch this space, we are on a mission!
